About Us
The SP Dolphins swim team is a member of and regulated by the Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL). This is a recreational league consisting of 20 teams split into four divisions: A, B, C and D. The SP Dolphins are in the C division.
We operate as a nonprofit organization with most of our revenues generated by registration fees. The major expenses include: coaches salaries, capital equipment, ribbon and trophy costs, computer software, and other supplies needed for meet operations.
Residents of South Park I and South Park II that are 5-18 years of age are welcome to participate on the SP Dolphins swim team. The SP Dolphins is a closed swim team, so no one from outside the neighborhood is allowed to swim on the team. For more information about the rules and regulations, please read the team handbook and by-laws.
There are two major RMSL rules that directly affect our swimmers:
1. The age category in which your child will swim is defined by your child's age on June 1st.
2. The League requires swimmers to participate in at least 10 practices and two regular season swim meets to be eligible for Prelims and Finals.
